Charity Letter & Mail Merge - Reflection

1. Take a screenshot of your charity letter and add it as a picture to your blog posting.

2. List the name of your business and its charity.
My business was ACPM Podiatry and its charity was the Red Cross.

3. How did you get the audience’s attention in the first paragraph?
I informed the audience of the recent distruction and natural disasters in Japan.

4. What skills did you use/learn in this project?
I learned how to use Mail merging in this project using a contact list.

5. What was the easiest part of this project? What was the most difficult part of this project?
The easiest part of the project was creating a fundraiser in the letter. The most difficult part of the project was using Mail merge.

6. Describe how you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation other than writing a charity letter.
Mail merge could be used to make and send multiple letters to a group of people such as students, people who want to try out for a sport, etc. Making contact lists through excel could also be used in this process to organize who the letters are supposed to be sent to.

7. Did you learn something new during this project that you did not know before?  If so, what?
I learned multiple things in this project that I didn't already know. These things include: using templates on excel such as the address one we used to make our contact list, and I didn't know how to Mail merge something before this project.
